Hollaaaa travelers!
I’m recently traveling to South Korea for 10 days, starting from November 27th until December 6th. I want to tell you about my winter trip to Korea, especially to all of you who want to visit Korea by yourself without any tour & travel services.
Day 1.
My flight was at 11.25 pm with Garuda Indonesia. I was so excited because I was in the same plane with Korean badminton athletes! But I honestly didn’t know who are they because the Korean athletes I know is only Lee Yong Dae, hehehe. He’s so popular in Indonesia because of his handsome face! Even my mom adores him too!
Okay, back to the topic. It took around 6 hours and 35 minutes to ICN and I was sleeping during the flight.
Day 2.
Time in Korea is 2 hours faster than in Jakarta, so I arrived in 8.30 am in the morning.
Here is the beginning of my journey here.

I’m using Seoul Metro from Incheon Airports to Dongdaemun Station, where my hotel is located. I walked around Dongdaemun because the check in time hotel is at 3 pm, and found DDP (Dongdaemun Design Plaza) by walking in 10 minutes. After taking lots of pictures in this unique building, I went to shopping center near DDP. They sell lots of good outwear, jackets, socks, even the good food in the cold weather. The temperature on that day is 3-4 degrees. I tried fish cakes that costs 700 won. It was soooo good! In additional, if you won’t stay in Dongdaemun, you can go to DDP by Seoul Metro and get off in Dongdaemun History and Culture Park Station, Line 2 or Line 4.

After checked in at the hotel and put my luggage, I went to Namsan Tower by taxi for 20 minutes and paid 7200 won. I found a pretty places after taking stairs in front of Namsan cable car.

The Namsan Tower cable car price is 8.500 won for return ticket. Because it was already 6 pm, I couldn’t take much picture. But, the view is still good!

Note: you should buy T-money Card special for tourist costs 4.000 won (not including the balance, so you still have to top up at the ticket machine). You can use it in Seoul subway, taxi, and bus. It also offers special discount in some places, such as in a Hanbok rental, Vivaldi Ski Park, Petite France, and many more.
